CBE offers EGP 26.5bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 26.50 billion through two tranches on Thursday, 29 September.

The first issue stood at EGP 5 billion, carrying a 182-day maturity period until 4 April 2023, according to official data.

With a tenor of 364 days until 3 October next year, the second offering was valued at EGP 21.50 billion.

On 25 September, the CBE issued T-bills worth EGP 21.50 billion through two auctions.
