Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 39.50 billion through two issues on Sunday, 7 May.
The first tranche stood at EGP 16.50 billion, holding a tenor of 182 days until 7 November 2023, according to official data.
With a 364-day maturity period until 7 May 2024, the second offering was valued at EGP 23 billion.
Last week, the CBE issued T-bills at a combined value of EGP 40 billion through two tranches.
