Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 40 billion through two issues on Sunday, 9 July.
The first tranche was valued at EGP 23 billion, carrying a 91-maturity period until 10 October 2023, according to official data.
With a tenor of 273 days until 9 April 2024, the second offering stood at EGP 17 billion.
Last Thursday, the central bank offered T-bills worth EGP 44 billion through two auctions.
