Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 47.50 billion through two tranches, on 2 October 2023.
The first issue was valued at EGP 22.50 billion and will mature in 91 days on 2 January 2024, according to official data.
The second tranche stood at EGP 25 billion, carrying a 273-day maturity period until 2 July next year.
Furthermore, the CBE offered treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 2.50 billion through one auction. The fixed coupon holds a tenor of three years until 3 October 2026.
Earlier this week, on 1 October, the financial authority issued T-bills and floating-rate T-bonds at an aggregated value of EGP 47.25 billion.
