CBE offers EGP 60bn T-bills on Sunday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 60 billion through two issues on Sunday, 22 September 2024.

The first auction was valued at EGP 40 billion, holding a tenor of 91 days until 24 December this year, according to official data.

The second tranche stood at EGP 20 billion and will mature in 273 days on 24 June 2025.

On 19 September, the CBE issued T-bills valued at EGP 55 billion through two offerings.
