Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) amounting to EGP 40 billion through two offerings on Sunday, 18 June.
The first issue stood at EGP 23 billion and will mature in 91 days on 19 September 2023, according to official data.
Holding a 273-day maturity period until 19 March 2024, the second tranche was valued at EGP 17 billion.
Last Thursday, the central bank issued T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 39.50 billion through two auctions.
