Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at an aggregated value of EGP 40 billion through two offerings on Sunday, 25 June, according to official data.
Holding a 91-day maturity period until 26 September 2023, the first issue stood at EGP 22.50 billion.
The second tranche was valued at EGP 17.50 billion, with a tenor of 273 days until 26 March 2024.
On 22 June, the CBE issued T-bills at a combined value of EGP 39.50 billion through two offerings.
It is worth noting that the financial authority will be closed for a full week from 27 June to 3 July 2023, in celebration of Eid El-Adha and the anniversary of the 30 June Revolution.
