Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a combined value of EGP 15 billion through two tranches on Monday, 30 September 2024.
The first tranche was valued at EGP 5 billion and will mature in two years on 1 October 2026, according to official data.
Holding a tenor of three years until 1 October 2027, the second auction stood at EGP 10 billion.
The CBE also unveiled floating-rate T-bonds at a value of EGP 2 billion through one auction, which carries a five-year maturity period until 1 October 2027.
Last week, the financial authority issued T-bonds and floating-rate bonds at a total value of EGP 7 billion.
