Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) stated that banking services will be suspended during the period from 27 June to 3 July on the occasion of Eid El-Adha and the 30 June Revolution.
Meanwhile, the financial authority will resume operations on Tuesday, 4 July.
Earlier this week, the Cabinet announced a full-week holiday for the public sector in the Arab Republic to celebrate the two occasions.
Eid Al Adha falls on the 10th of Dhu Al Hijjah according to the Islamic lunar calendar and lasts for four days. However, the dates vary on an annual basis in the Gregorian calendar, shifting around 11 days earlier each year.
Egypt celebrates the 30 June Revolution every year to mark the protests that took place on the same day in 2013, calling for EX-President Mohamed Morsi and his government to step down.
