CBE unveils EGP 3.75bn debt instruments on Monday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bonds (T-bonds) at an aggregated value of EGP 2.75 billion through two issues on Monday, 10 July.

Holding a tenor of three years until 11 July 2026, the first tranche was valued at EGP 2.50 billion, according to official data.

The second offering stood at EGP 250 million and will mature in seven years on 7 May 2029.

Meanwhile, the CBE issued floating-rate T-bonds worth EGP 1 billion through one auction, which carries a three-year maturity period until 11 July 2026.   

Earlier this week, the financial authority offered debt instruments at a combined value of EGP 40 billion through two issues.
