CBE unveils EGP 82bn T-bills, bonds on Monday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced debt instruments at an aggregated value of EGP 82 billion over four issues, according to official data.

The CBE unveiled treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 70 billion through two auctions, standing at EGP 25 billion and EGP 45 billion, respectively.

Additionally, the financial authority auctioned fixed treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 8 billion, maturing in two years on 6 January 2028.

The CBE also issued floating-rate T-bonds at a value of EGP 4 billion through one auction, which carries a three-year maturity period until 6 January 2029.
