CBE unveils T-bills worth EGP 50bn on Sunday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) worth EGP 50 billion through two offerings on Sunday, 20 October 2024.

The first tranche was valued at EGP 30 billion and will mature in 91 days on 21 January 2025, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second offering stood at EGP 20 billion, carrying a 273-day maturity period until 22 July next year.

On 17 October, the central bank unveiled T-bills at a combined value of EGP 50 billion.
