CBE unveils T-bills worth EGP 55bn on Sunday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 55 billion through two issues on Sunday, 12 January 2025.

The first tranche stood at EGP 20 billion and will mature in 91 days on 15 April this year, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second offering was valued at EGP 35 billion, holding a tenor of 273 days until 14 October 2025.

On 9 January, the central bank auctioned T-bills worth EGP 80 billion through two offerings.
