CST, Boeing hold space internship program

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) held an internship program for 12 scholarship students in aerospace engineering, in collaboration with Boeing, the world's largest aerospace company.

This one-month program aims to develop human capabilities in space engineering and science, promote skills development in space technologies, invest in national capabilities, and acquire practical skills in the space sector, according to CST's recent statement.

It will qualify participants for the job market by involving them in various projects within theoretical and practical phases. The theoretical phase takes place in Texas and includes NASA's architecture studies from the Moon to Mars.

The practical phase, which takes place at Boeing’s location in Alabama, involves experiments in multiple space projects such as the carbon dioxide removal system for Moon and Mars applications.

The internship program is part of the educational and training programs that CST provides in partnership with local and global partners to develop capabilities in space and its sciences.
