Completion of 98% of flood control project at SAR45m

Riyadh - Mubasher: 98% of flood control and rain water drainage project in Alguila industrial city, fourth stage was completed at SAR45.2 million, according to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA".

Deputy mayor for reconstruction and projects, Ali bin Mohammed Harfash, said that that the project consists of a closed box-channel starts from the King Abdul Aziz Road in front of Saudi Aramco company passing through Abu AL-Qais Almuaali Street with King Fahd Road to Najran Valley.

Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Abdul Latif Al Al-Sheikh approved in October 2015 awarding 38 contracts for flood control projects and implementing rainwater drainage network in addition to valley streams maintenance and supporting some drainage channels in Riyadh, Madinah, Eastern Province, Asir, Qassim, Tabuk, Jizan, Hail, Najran and Jeddah, at SAR906 million, according to the SPA agency.
