Contact, Fawry join forces to expand digital payment solutions

Cairo – Mubasher: Contact Financial Holding penned a deal with Fawry for Banking Technology and Electronic Payments to enable Contact’s buy now, pay later (BNPL) service across Fawry’s extensive payment network.

This cooperation supports Egypt's vision to drive digital transformation and promote financial inclusion, while reducing reliance on cash transactions, according to a press release.

The partnership includes a wider range of fintech solutions, including E-Payment Gateway, bill payment aggregation, and other services, further strengthening the integration of the services provided.

Ghada Tayel, Head of Products & Business Development at Contact, stated: "By offering more efficient and flexible repayment options through Fawry’s extensive merchant network across Egypt, we are strengthening our market reach and making our financing solutions more accessible to a broader customer base."

Heba El Awady, Chief Business Officer -Acceptance, added: "The partnership with Contact aims to facilitate and expand financial services to reach more sectors, providing our customers with greater flexibility and more options.”

By securing digital transactions, the partnership boosts the overall efficiency of Egypt’s digital payments infrastructure, securing a seamless and customer-centric payment experience for both individuals and merchants.

Fawry recently announced consolidated net profits after tax valued at EGP 1.74 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 815.96 million registered in 2023.
