Crescent Petroleum transfers shareholding in Dana Gas

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Dana Gas stated that CP Upstream Holding (DG) Limited’s ownership percentage has reached 20%, based on the records received from the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).

This announcement was made as Crescent Petroleum Company International Limited completed the transfer of its shareholding in Dana Gas to CР Upstream Holding (DG) Limited.

The equity ownership stands at 1.39 billion shares, equivalent to 20% of Dana Gas. Meanwhile, the shareholding transfer was concluded on 17 March 2026 through ADX.

This transaction is an intra-group transfer undertaken as part of a group corporate restructure under the same ultimate ownership.

CP Upstream Holding stated that the transfer transaction “does not involve any commercial transaction, and no financial consideration has been exchanged.”

It added: “There are no changes to the company's strategy, operations, or management as a result of this transfer.”

In January 2026, Dana Gas announced its partnership with Crescent Petroleum to supply substantial volumes of clean-burning natural gas from the Chemchemal field to major industrial consumers in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).

Meanwhile, the listed company generated AED 476 million worth of net profits in 2025, which was equivalent to $130 million.
