Crown Prince: Saudi Arabia achieves 93% of Vision 2030 targets

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman said Saudi Arabia has achieved 93% of the targets set under its Vision 2030 programs and strategies as the Kingdom marks a decade since the launch of the national transformation plan.

Speaking during the annual royal address at the opening of the third year of the ninth session of the Shura Council on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince highlighted the Kingdom’s economic diversification and growing private-sector role.

He said non-oil exports have increased 155% compared with 2016, while the private sector’s contribution to the economy has reached 51%. He also noted the resilience of Saudi Arabia’s transport and logistics system amid changes in global supply chains.

The Public Investment Fund (PIF) has begun implementing its strategy for the next five years, focusing on developing competitive domestic economic sectors in partnership with the private sector and increasing local content.

The Crown Prince also said Saudi Arabia ranks first globally in digital readiness, telecommunications and technology development, and cybersecurity, while ranking second in digital government maturity.

He added that 2026 has been designated the “Year of Artificial Intelligence,” reflecting the Kingdom’s focus on developing AI applications, improving productivity, enhancing services, and training Saudi talent.
