DFM closes Tuesday up; ADX down

UAE– Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) gained 14.88 points (0.36%) on Tuesday and ended the trading session at 4,068.52 points.

A total of 346.75 million shares were exchanged at a value of AED 420.12 million.

Union Properties, which recorded the highest turnover of AED 89.16 million, was the most active stock with 210.51 million shares.

National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed) led the gainers with 6.78%, while Orascom Construction headed the losers with 6.15%.

On the other hand, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) edged down by 0.101% to 9,766.47 points.

ADX’s turnover amounted to AED 1.19 billion through the exchange of 278.18 million shares, while the market cap value reached AED 2.85 trillion.

Multiply Group was the most active stock in terms of trading volume and value with 69.56 million shares exchanged at AED 266.58 million.

Umm Al Qaiwain General Investment Company topped the risers with 6.86%, whereas Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Company dominated the fallers with 6.15%.
