Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Taxi Company has signed a strategic partnership with Bolt, the global shared mobility platform, to develop the UAE’s largest e-hailing platform.
The two entities will secure advanced e-hailing solutions in Dubai, enhance customers’ digital mobility experience, and scale up smart transportation services across the Emirate, according to a press release.
In line with Dubai Taxi’s growth strategy, Bolt’s digital platform will enable the DFM-listed company to unlock a greater share of the AED 6 billion market opportunity.
Mansoor Al Falasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi, signed the partnership deal with Markus Villig, Founder and CEO of Bolt, on the slides of GITEX Global.
Meanwhile, the partnership anchors Bolt’s expansion plans across the Middle East and follows the growth of its business in Saudi Arabia and its launch in Egypt earlier this year.
Founded in 2013, the company operates in more than 600 cities across 50 countries. Bolt offers a diverse range of mobility solutions, including e-hailing, food and grocery delivery, scooter and e-bike rental, and short-term car rental.
Last September, Dubai Taxi was awarded 300 new plates at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) auction, which was forecast to generate an additional AED 100 million in annual revenues.
