EGX closes Wednesday in red zone

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session lower, with the EGX30 main index down 0.55% to 9,955.85 points.

Moreover, the EGX50 EWI retreated by 0.25% to 1,895.47 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices declined by 0.43% to 2,188.56 points and by 0.57% to 3,122.76 points, respectively.

EGX’s turnover reached EGP 1.51 billion through the exchange of 509.38 million shares. The market cap value amounted to EGP 686.82 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 286.08 million and EGP 95.09 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 381.18 million.
