EGX closes Wednesday in red zone

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session with a negative performance after the EGX30 main index went down by 0.22% to 17,495.77 points.

The EGX50 EWI also declined by 0.06% to 3,207.14 points.

Both small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI closed the session lower by 0.43% at 3,249.99 points and by 0.49% at 4,875.07 points, respectively.

A total of 998.49 million shares were exchanged at a value of EGP 3.42 billion, while the market cap value amounted to EGP 1.13 trillion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 161.66 million. Meanwhile, the foreign and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 105.53 million and EGP 56.13 million, respectively.
