EGX closes Wednesday’s trading session in red

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session on a negative note, with the EGX30 main index down 1.17% to 9,702.19 points.

Furthermore, the EGX50 EWI declined by 0.98% to 1,891.12 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices plummeted by 1.16% to 2,241.57 points and by 1.07% to 3,172.06 points, respectively.

EGX’s turnover stood at EGP 1.08 billion through the exchange of 449.09 million shares. The market cap value totalled EGP 682.45 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 69.41 million and EGP 11.94 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 81.36 million.
