EGX closes Wednesday’s trading session lower

Cairo – Mubasher: The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session with a negative performance after the EGX30 main index fell by 1.25% to 2,6634.30 points.

Both small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices ended the session lower by 1.87% at 5,794.95 points and by 1.79% at 8,422.19 points, respectively.

EGX’s trading value reached EGP 3.56 billion after 736.49 million shares were exchanged, while the market cap value amounted to EGP 1.78 trillion.

As for trading on securities, the Arab and foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 94.64 million and EGP 2.66 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 97.30 million.
