Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange's (EGX) listing committee approved the final delisting of the shares of the Egyptian Company for International Touristic Projects (Americana Egypt).
A total of 400 million shares at a value of EGP 400 million will be delisted upon the company’s voluntary delisting request, according to a bourse statement on Wednesday.
On 30 September, Americana Egypt purchased the shares of shareholders who object to the voluntary delisting at EGP 6.32 per share through the Special Operations Market (OPR).
A total of 1.20 million shares were sold at a value of EGP 7.6 million.
The company’s data will be removed from the stock exchange database as of the end of the trading session of Tuesday, 6 October. The company’s shares will be traded through the OPR market for a period of six months ending on 31 January 2021.
During the first six months of 2020, Americana Egypt’s net losses widened to EGP 190.5 million from EGP 1.41 million in the prior-year period.
