EGX ends Thursday in green for 6th session in row

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday session up for the sixth session in a row.

The benchmark index EGX30 added 0.34% or 53.3 points to 12,420.3 points.

The small and medium caps index EGX70 shed 0.1% to 461.7 points, while the broader index EGX100 added 0.25% to 1,100.06 points.

The equal weighted index EGX50 fell 0.06% to 1,942.84 points.

Market capitalisation gained EGP 344 million to close at EGP 608.6 billion.

Traded value reached EGP 21.9 billion, with 614.9 million shares traded.

EFG Hermes Group registered the highest turnover with EGP 220.1 million, as it went up 2.48% closing at EGP 23.94.

Talaat Moustafa Group Holding came second achieving AED 190.1 million turnover and increased 1.39% to EGP 9.45.

Commercial International Bank (CIB) added 0.28% closing at EGP 72.05, with a turnover of EGP 129.3 million.

Foreign and Arab investors leaned towards buying netting EGP 126.6 million and 179.6 million, respectively, while Egyptians were net sellers at EGP 306.3 million.
