Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday's trading session on a positive note with the market's turnover exceeding EGP 2 billion.
The main EGX30 index advanced by 1.04% to 11,064 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI grew by 0.36% to 2,991 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI rose by 0.74% to 3,977 points and the EGX50 EWI climbed by 1.41% to 2,474 points.
The market cap value grew by EGP 6.9 billion to close at EGP 731.450 billion.
Local and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 45.4 million and EGP 45.2 million, respectively, while Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 90.6 million.
The market's turnover amounted to EGP 2.29 billion after 732.92 million shares were exchanged through around 66,610 transactions.
