EGX ends Wednesday with mixed note

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session with a varied performance after the EGX30 main index declined by 0.71% to 16,315.62 points.

Both EGX50 EWI and EGX100 EWI plummeted by 0.84% to 2,829.06 points and by 0.23% to 4,437.63 points, respectively.

On the other hand, the EGX70 EWI ended the trading session higher by 0.35% at 3,020.60 points.

Egypt’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.61 billion after a total of 376.70 million shares were exchanged during the session, whereas the market cap value hit EGP 1.05 trillion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian traders were net sellers with EGP 163.11 million. Meanwhile, the foreign and Arab were net buyers with EGP 88.68 million and EGP 74.42 million, respectively.
