Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices experienced a significant downturn on Sunday, with the main index, EGX30, tumbling 5.01% to settle at 27,840.86 points.
The EGX70 index dropped 3.95% to end at 7,544.15 points, while the EGX100 index declined by 3.81% to close at 10,403.62 points.
Trading value stood at EGP 9.19 billion through the exchange of 1.84 billion shares, while the market cap value reached EGP 1.97 trillion.
In terms of trading on securities, Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 368.26 million. Meanwhile, Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 185.80 million and EGP 182.45 million, respectively.
