EGX’s indices end Tuesday higher; market cap hits over EGP 1.7trn

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended in a positive performance at the first session after the Labour Day and Eastern Christian Easter holidays, with the EGX30 main index increasing by 1.21% to close at 26,429.69 points on Tuesday.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose 1.09% to close at 5,859.87 points.

Similarly, the EGX100 EWI grew by 1% to 8,404.95 points.

A total of 568.08 million shares were exchanged at a value of EGP 2.86 billion.

In addition, the market cap value of EGX surpassed EGP 1.78 trillion at the end of the session.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab investors were the net sellers with EGP 54.14 million and EGP 8.13 million, respectively.

On the other hand, the foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 62.27 million.
