EGX’s indices rebound on Monday; market cap surpasses EGP 2trn

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) bounced back on Monday after a collective drop at the first session of the week.

The benchmark index, EGX30, surged 3.94% to close at 28,931.92 points, while the EGX70 index added 0.42% to end at 7,576.15 points.

Similarly, the EGX100 index increased by 1.29% to settle at 10,537.94 points.

Trading value stood at EGP 8.79 billion through the exchange of 1.27 billion shares, while the market cap value reached EGP 2.02 trillion.

In terms of trading on securities, Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 358.76 million. Meanwhile, Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 131.56 million and EGP 227.19 million, respectively.
