EGX shows negative performance on Tuesday

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed lower on Tuesday, with the EGX30 main index falling by 2.16% to 32,661.61 points.

Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI declined by 3.79% to 6,998.04 points and the EGX100 EWI plunged by 3.32% to 10,096.94 points.

The trading value reached EGP 5.68 billion after 640.11 million shares were exchanged. Meanwhile, the market cap amounted to EGP 2.13 trillion at the end of the session.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian traders were net sellers with EGP 349 million, while the foreign and Arab investors were the net buyers with EGP 246.60 million and EGP 102.40 million, respectively.
