EIPICO's profit falls 6% in Q1-21

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian International Pharmaceutical Industries (EIPICO) achieved net profits of EGP 178.06 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, down by 5.8% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 189.1 million, according to the unaudited financial results.

The sales grew to EGP 813.77 million in the first three months of the year from EGP 770.02 million in the corresponding period in 2020, the company said in a bourse disclosure on Monday.

As for standalone business, the company recorded net profits of EGP 167.19 million in Q1-21, up from EGP 165.21 million in Q1-20.

The standalone sales increased to EGP 798.44 million in the January-March period from EGP 739.34 million in the prior-year period.

Over the course of 2020, EIPICO logged net profits of EGP 487.4 million, down from EGP 671.44 million in 2019.
