Egypt Post's savings fund deposits rise to LE 103.1 in 2020/21

Egypt Today: The data of the annual bulletin of postal services statistics showed an increase in the value of the amounts deposited in the savings fund during 2020/2021, to LE 103.1 billion, compared to LE 95.7 billion for 2019/2020, marking an increase of 7.7 percent.

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics said in a statement, Thursday, that the value of disbursed pensions amounted to LE 99.7 billion in 2020/2021, compared to LE 84.2 billion in 2019/2020, with an increase of 18.4 percent.

Regarding current accounts, the value of deposited amounts rose 3.3 percent, reaching LE 141.4 billion in 2020/2021, compared to LE 136.9 billion in 2019/2020.

The value of sold stamps and forms in postal units hiked 11.7 percent, recording LE 266.1 million in 2020/2021, compared to LE 238.2 million in 2019/2020.

With regard to postal service units, the number of postal offices reached 4,106 in 2020/2021, compared to 4,033 in 2019/2020, marking an increase of 1.8 percent.

CAPMAS indicated that the number of electronic payment service units that perform a service at the level of the Republic reached 4,656 units in 2020/2021, compared to 2,841 units in 2019-2020, recording an increase of 63.9 percent.
