Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 47.50 billion over two offerings on Sunday, 17 December 2023.
The first tranche is worth EGP 23 billion and holds a 91-day tenor to be matured on 19 March 2024, according to official data.
The second auction amounts to EGP 24.50 billion and carries a maturity period of 273 days until 17 September 2024.
It is worth noting that the financial regulator issued last week debt instruments in the form of T-bills at a total value of EGP 94 billion on Sunday, 10, and Thursday, 14 December, as well as two-type treasury bonds (T-bonds) amounting to EGP 3 billion on Monday, 11 December.
