Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s annual core inflation rate increased to 3.7% in March, compared to 3.6% a month earlier, data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) showed.
The monthly core consumer price index (CPI) recorded 0.5% last month, compared to 0.4% in March 2020 and 0.3% in February 2021, the CBE said in a statement on Thursday.
Earlier, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed that the country’s annual headline inflation rate registered 4.8% in March, compared to 4.6% in the same month a year earlier.
