Egypt’s central bank issues EGP 46.5bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 46.50 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 16 November 2023.

The first tranche stood at EGP 20 billion and will mature in 182 days on 21 May 2024, according to official data.

The second offering was valued at EGP 26.50 billion, holding a 364-day tenor until 19 November next year.

Earlier this week, on 12 November, the CBE issued T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 47.50 billion through two auctions.
