Egypt’s engineering exports climb 11.5% in 2025

Egypt Today: Egypt’s engineering exports continued their upward trajectory in 2025, recording a solid 11.5 percent growth during the first nine months of the year compared to the same period in 2024. According to the Engineering Export Council, export revenues reached $4.733 billion, up from $4.244 billion last year.

Performance in September 2025 alone reflected this momentum, as exports rose 7 percent to $533 million, compared to $498.5 million in the corresponding month of 2024 — a result attributed to the sector’s expanding presence across diverse global markets.

Council Chairman Eng. Sherif El-Seyad noted that the robust performance was led by several key industries: electrical and electronic products surged by 38 percent, machinery and equipment by 18.4 percent, transportation equipment by 14.4 percent, home appliances by 9.1 percent, automotive components by 7.5 percent, and cables by 4.8 percent — all reaching record-high export levels.

El-Seyad reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to executing its strategic roadmap to boost annual engineering exports to $10 billion by 2030. The plan focuses on expanding Egypt’s exporter base, penetrating new markets in Africa and Latin America, increasing Egyptian participation in specialized international trade exhibitions, and hosting buyer-delegation missions to strengthen global partnerships.
