Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian food industry exports increased by 17% to $5.50 billion during the first 11 months of 2024, according to the Export Council for Food Industries.
This is compared to exports valued at $4.70 billion to exports during January-November 2023, marking the highest value of exports achieved by the sector during that period.
Meanwhile, the exports to the African countries hit $464 million, representing 8% of the total exports.
The council highlighted that exports to the Arab countries came on top of the list of most important international groups importing Egyptian processed food followed by the European Union (EU).
