Cairo – Mubasher: The annual core consumer price index (CPI) inflation of Egypt plummeted to 10.7% in August 2025 from 11.6% in July 2025, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
The monthly core CPI inflation of Egypt stood at 0.1% in August 2025, higher year-on-year (YoY) than 0.09%.
As for the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) data, the monthly headline urban CPI inflation reached 0.04% in August, down from 2.1% during the same month a year earlier.
The annual urban headline CPI inflation recorded 12% in August 2025, compared with 13.9% in July.
