Egypt’s stock market closes Wednesday in red

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session with a negative note after the EGX30 main index declined by 0.06% to 17,144.22 points.

The EGX50 EWI also retreated by 0.60% to 3,132.56 points.

Both the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI ended the session lower by 0.31% at 3,392.27 points and by 0.39% at 5,034.37 points, respectively.

EGX’s turnover reached EGP 1.48 billion through the exchange of 500.56 million shares, while the market cap value stood at EGP 1.16 trillion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian traders were net buyers with EGP 55.38 million. Meanwhile, the Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 31.54 million and EGP 23.84 million, respectively.
