Egypt’s stock market ends Thursday with collective decline

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session with a negative performance after the EGX30 main index fell by 1.60% to 17,102.30 points.

Furthermore, the EGX50 EWI declined by 1.46% to 3,182.43 points.

Both the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI ended the session lower by 2.66% at 3,474.23 points and by 2.29% at 5,146.38 points, respectively.

The turnover amounted to EGP 1.67 billion through the exchange of 910.40 million shares, while the market cap value stood at EGP 1.13 trillion.

As for trading on securities, the Arab and Egyptian traders were net buyers with EGP 16.09 million and EGP 16.06 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 32.16 million.
