Egypt’s stock market falls on Tuesday; market cap hits EGP 1.95trn

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) declined collectively on Tuesday, with the EGX30 main index falling by 0.98% to 29,057.50 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI retreated by 0.40% to 6,697.35 points. Similarly, the EGX100 EWI decreased by 0.59% to 9,540.22 points.

EGX’s trading value stood at EGP 3.38 billion after 654.07 million shares were exchanged.

Meanwhile, the market cap value amounted to EGP 1.95 trillion at the end of the session.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian traders were the net buyers with EGP 313.37 million, while the Arab and foreign investors were the net sellers with EGP 134.51 million and EGP 178.85 million, respectively.
