Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian-Ugandan technical cooperation committees have ended their two-day meetings in the Ugandan capital of Kampala.
Both parties have agreed that Egypt commences the construction of five water dams across Uganda, state-run news agency MENA reported.
The committees have discussed ways to reinforce cooperation between the two countries through bilateral cooperation projects, the Egyptian irrigation ministry highlighted.
Members of the committees have succeeded in following up the work progress and the volume of achievement in all projects, as well as considering ways to overcome any obstacles to guarantee the continuity of these projects, the ministry added.
The meetings also covered the required procedures to prepare for the second phase of the flood risk prevention project in the district of Kasese to carry on a series of successful investments of the first phase.
