Egyptian Electricity Holding Co. plans EGP 29.5bn investments in FY21/22

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Electricity Holding Co (EEHC) plans to implement investments worth EGP 29.5 billion in fiscal year (FY) 2021/2022.

The company also plans to increase the number of subscribers to 39.6 million, a 3.6% increase from the expected number in FY20/21, the company’s Chairman, Gaber Desoky, said in a statement on Monday.

The company aims to boost the capacity of the national grid by 450 megawatts (MW) to 60,567 MW and increase the generated power to 192.044 billion kilowatt hour (kWh) in the coming fiscal year.

The volume of energy sold to consumers are planned to increase by 7% to 168.503 billion kWh.
