Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) fell on Sunday, with the EGX30 main index plunging by 4.93% to 24,639.63 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI tumbled 4.72% to 5,714.19 points, while the EGX100 EWI plummeted by 4.84% to close at 8,097.97 points.
A total of 697.26 million shares were exchanged at a value of EGP 2.29 billion.
In addition, the market cap value of EGX hit EGP 1.69 trillion at the end of the session.
As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 21.03 million and EGP 11.68 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Arab investors were the net sellers with EGP 32.72 million.
