Egyptian gov’t allocates EGP 100m to distribute Aman certificates

Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian Ministry of Manpower and Immigration has allocated EGP 100 million for the distribution of Aman certificates among irregular workers registered at manpower directorates in 27 governorates.

The ministry’s decision comes under Himaya campaign launched during March and April 2018 and resulted in the registration of 2.3 million irregular workers, minister Mohamed Safaan stated.

The value of distributed Aman certificates has reached 35% of the target and the ministry is working through its directorates to complete the distribution of certificates to realise the goals of ‘Hayat Karima’ (Decent Life) initiative, Safaan noted.

It is worth highlighting that Egypt injected EGP 944 million into the first phase of Hayat Karima initiative during fiscal year 2018/2019.
