Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian Transport and Commercial Services Company (Egytrans) secures a logistics services contract for the Egypt Amunet wind farm project at a total value of EGP 124 million.
The EGX-listed firm will team up with KPI Global Logistics Limited and WZ (Hong Kong) Global Logistics Limited for the project, which will hold a capacity of 500 megawatts (MW).
Egytrans pointed out that the agreement covers transporting and storing 77 towers and 500,000 tonnes of freight, according to a bourse filing.
The project is expected to start at the end of November 2023, while the implementation work will continue for a year.
In the first nine months (9M) of 2023, Egytrans posted consolidated net profits after tax valued at EGP 37.65 million, an annual rise from EGP 30.80 million, including minority interest.
Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) grew to EGP 0.24 in 9M-23 from EGP 0.20 a year earlier, while the revenues dropped to EGP 276.15 million from EGP 292.41 million.
Last July, the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) approved the company’s EGP 68.88 million capital raise.
