El-Sisi witnesses signing MoUs with Greece, Cyprus

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, witnessed the signing of several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between Egypt, Greece, and Cyprus on the sidelines of the ninth trilateral summit held in Athens, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Tuesday. 

The summit is being attended by El-Sisi, the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and the Cypriot President, Nicos Anastasiades, as part of a cooperation mechanism launched in 2014 between the three countries.

The Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Shaker, signed an MoU with Cyrpus and Greece for electricity interconnection between the three countries. 

Moreover, the Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Nabila Makram, signed an MoU with the Cypriot Presidential Commissioner and the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
