Cairo - Mubasher: Egytech Cables Company, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric Company, has signed a contract worth KWD 18.70 million (EGP 2.90 billion) with Kuwait’s Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW).
Egytech will supply and install high-voltage electrical cables for the South Sabah Al Ahmad residential project, according to a bourse filing.
The contract covers the design, supply, and installation of 400 kilovolt (kV) cable works on a turnkey basis.
Meanwhile, the project is scheduled to become operational within 24 months from the commencement date.
The South Sabah Al Ahmad project is one of Kuwait’s major national housing developments, implemented by the PAHW to support development, modernization, and growing housing demand.
In December 2025, Elsewedy Electric inaugurated new factories in Saudi Arabia across the energy and infrastructure sectors, with total investments of more than SAR 1.50 billion.
